Live animals, in competition and educational displays, are an important part of the exhibitor and public experience during the State Fair. Some things to remember when interacting or passing through an area inclusive of live animals are:

  • WASH YOUR HANDS – washing your hands frequently is the “best medicine” for curbing the transmission of disease.
  • Don’t eat or drink in areas where animals are housed or shown.
  • Adhere to all warning and informational signs about animal contact and always ask an individual animal’s handler or owner for permission to touch any animal prior to doing so.

The OKC Fairgrounds, a City of Oklahoma City property, follows the smoking rules per city policy.
